Mid-Century Danish Teak Desk by Møbelfabrikken LA-OS, 1960s

A charming Danish mid-century writing desk designed and manufactured by Møbelfabrikken LA-OS, also known as Laursen & Olsen, in Denmark during the 1960s.

Crafted in warm-toned teak, the desk has a clean, understated Scandinavian design, with elegant tapered legs and a beautifully proportioned rectangular top. The most distinctive feature is the floating drawer unit positioned to one side, comprising three drawers with finely finished solid-wood fronts and traditional metal handles. The suspended construction gives the desk a light, almost architectural appearance while providing useful storage without compromising the simplicity of the design.

The teak has a lovely natural grain and warm colour, characteristic of Danish furniture of the period. A versatile and elegant piece, it would work equally well as a writing desk, home office desk or occasional console, bringing the restrained beauty of classic Danish design to a contemporary interior.
