A beautifully proportioned Mid-Century coffee table designed by the renowned Danish designer Johannes Andersen and handcrafted in teak and  in Denmark during the 1960s. Celebrated for his refined organic forms and exceptional craftsmanship, Andersen created furniture that combined sculptural elegance with everyday practicality, and this table is a fine example of his timeless design philosophy.

The table features a gracefully shaped rectangular top with softly rounded corners and beautifully tapered edges, highlighting the rich, vibrant teak grain. Its elegant underframe, with subtly sculpted supports and distinctive sled-style legs, gives the piece a light, architectural appearance while ensuring excellent stability.

Practical as well as beautiful, the coffee table incorporates two discreet drawers, one accessible from each side, making it ideal for storing magazines, remote controls, coasters, or everyday essentials. One drawer includes a thoughtfully designed divided cutlery-style organiser, reflecting the meticulous attention to detail synonymous with Danish cabinetmaking.

The warm honey tones and striking grain patterns of the teak enhance the table’s sophisticated character, allowing it to complement both authentic Mid-Century interiors and contemporary living spaces with equal ease.

Our skilled restorers have carefully refinished the table, preserving its original beauty while enhancing the natural warmth and depth of the teak. As shown in the photographs, the edges of the tabletop have some indentations and extend slightly over the solid teak frame. These condition details do not affect the table’s functionality, stability, or structural integrity. The table remains tight, sturdy, and perfectly suitable for everyday use.
