Beautiful set of six Mid-Century dining chairs, made in Denmark in the 1960s and crafted from warm, richly grained teak.
The chairs feature an elegant sculptural design, with gently curved ladder-back frames and beautifully shaped solid teak arms and legs. Their organic lines and refined proportions are characteristic of Danish mid-century design, while the black upholstered seats provide a simple contrast to the timber’s warmth.
Each chair bears a “Made in Denmark” stamp to the underside of the seat pad.
The set has been carefully restored and is presented in very good vintage condition, with the natural character and patina of the teak preserved. A timeless set that works equally well around a dining table, in a contemporary interior, or as occasional chairs.

A beautifully crafted modular shelving unit designed by Robert Heritage for Avalon and handcrafted in the UK.
The composition combines a long teak sideboard with two sliding-door cupboards at each end and a central bank of three drawers, together with a long open teak shelf. Above, the bookcase features a generous open central section, flanked by a smaller cupboard on each side, each enclosed by a sliding door.
Two elegant black metal structures support the teak modules, creating a light, architectural look while providing a strong, practical framework.
The unit has arrived in exceptionally good original condition. Our restorers only needed to carefully clean all components, including the teak modules and shelf, then apply wax to revive and protect the teak’s natural colour and character.
A versatile and beautifully proportioned example of British mid-century design, offering generous storage and display space while making a strong architectural statement.

Roche Bobois Architect Bookcase (made in France)

A striking Architect bookcase, handcrafted by Roche Bobois, offered in its original condition. The bookcase is composed of three separate modules, making it easier to transport and deliver.
The bookcase currently includes four glass shelves. Two additional shelves are missing.
There is a crack in the rear back panel, which does not affect the bookcase’s functionality or use. Zoom in on the pictures to appreciate it.
The second door from the left on the top module has a small scratch on the glass. I have photographed it for transparency, although the scratch is very difficult to discern in the photographs and is not particularly noticeable.
The bookcase is offered at £3,800 in its original condition, including the four existing glass shelves.
For those who would prefer to have the bookcase refreshed, I have also obtained a quotation from our restorers for the following work:
- Repairing the crack and painting the interior in a bespoke colour: £500
- New tempered-glass shelves: £120 each
This would allow the new owner to choose a colour for the interior and have the two missing shelves replaced, creating a more complete and personalised finish.
