Designed by Tom Robertson and patented by A.H. McIntosh in the 1960s for the Dunvegan collection, this double-extension dining table stands as a fine example of mid-century Scottish craftsmanship. Handcrafted in beautiful teak, it displays an outstanding grain, where organic shapes and gentle black streaks move across the surface, giving the wood a natural depth and quiet elegance.
The table is equipped with two folded extension leaves, discreetly stored beneath the main top. They are easily accessed by gently drawing the top towards each end; with the quiet grace of butterfly wings, the leaves unfold and lock seamlessly into place, extending the surface in a manner both fluid and assured.

Designed by Tom Robertson for A.H. McIntosh, the prestigious Scottish furniture maker, this exceptional Dunfermline collection sideboard dates from the mid-century era. Beautifully crafted in stunning rosewood, it showcases the elegant proportions, distinctive detailing and outstanding craftsmanship for which McIntosh is renowned.
The sideboard retains its original features, including beautifully sculpted solid handles and an elegant, organic design. Its thoughtfully arranged interior offers generous and versatile storage.
On the left, three drawers include a top drawer fitted for cutlery. The central section features two doors opening onto spacious storage compartments, complemented by a distinctive curved shelf. On the right, a dedicated cocktail cabinet features a drop-down door and a pull-out serving tray finished in black melamine, ideal for preparing and serving drinks in style.
Professionally restored, this remarkable piece is presented in exceptional condition, with its original character carefully preserved. The rich rosewood grain lends depth, warmth and individuality to the design, making it a striking focal point in both contemporary and traditional interiors. A refined and timeless mid-century dining set from the distinguished Dunvegan collection by McIntosh, designed by Tom Robertson and made in Scotland during the 1960s. Crafted in beautiful teak, the extendable round dining table showcases the elegant proportions, practical design and fine craftsmanship for which McIntosh is renowned.
The set includes four original teak dining chairs designed specifically for the table, allowing them to be neatly tucked underneath when not in use. Upholstered in its original black vinyl, the chairs provide a striking contrast to the warm tones of the teak while ensuring comfort for everyday dining.
Optional Upholstery Upgrade
For an additional £200 / 240€ you can choose to have the chairs upholstered in your preferred material. We have additional chairs in our workshop awaiting restoration and can offer a choice of high-quality Spradling vinyl or natural-fibre fabrics from Magenta Fabrics. This allows you to personalise the set to complement your interior.

Lucian Ercolani designed and manufactured this table in the 1960s in the UK for the well-known furniture brand Ercol.
This table is one of Ercolani’s first creations, using elm wood for the top and beech wood for the structure and legs.
Even today it continues to be an icon of the Ercol house and has just been recently re-edited in oak wood.
The table gives us the opportunity to use it open, semi-open or closed.
