Set of 6 Danish “Knife Chairs” by K.S., 1960s
1,850.00€ Add to cartSet of 6 Danish “Knife Chairs” by K.S., 1960s
A refined set of six “Knife Chairs”, made in Denmark during the 1960s by K.S., carries the quiet discipline and honest craftsmanship of Scandinavian design at its most enduring.
Shaped in solid teak, each chair reveals the gentle poetry of mid-century woodworking—slim, purposeful lines drawn with restraint, where every angle serves both grace and function. The silhouette, often referred to as “knife” for its sharp yet elegant profile, speaks of an era when design was pared back to its essential truth.
The original upholstery remains in place, carrying the soft patina of time. It lends a sense of continuity, preserving the chair’s authentic character while offering a tactile reminder of its history. Together, wood and fabric tell a story not of reinvention, but of preservation.
The chairs retain their original upholstery, preserved with time’s gentle hand. Should you wish to receive them reimagined in fresh fabric, each chair may be reupholstered for an additional £75, offering a renewed expression while honouring their enduring form.
Balanced, sturdy, and quietly elegant, this set brings the calm dignity of 1960s Danish interiors into contemporary spaces with effortless presence.
