Terms & conditions
You will need to register on our website before you can do an order. When you place an order, we will require your name, e-mail address, credit / debit card number and card expiry date as well as the address details at which the card is registered. Without this information we will not be able to process your request or notify you of acceptance of your order.
A contact telephone number is also required so that we can reach you if there is a problem with your order, or if your order has been reserved pending a delivery quote. We may, unless you advise us otherwise, pass this information to our couriers or other agents in case they need to contact you to arrange the processing or delivery of your order.
We try to ensure that you are aware of the latest developments and offers, we may also use this information to advise you of new stock, special promotions or changes. If you would prefer not receive this information, please send an email to email@example.com. Please ensure that you notify us of your preference for each e-mail address account given to us.
Once your order has been completed, the completion of the contract between vintage14.com and yourself takes place. We cannot fulfil any obligations due to the following reasons:
- The product you ordered being unavailable from stock
- Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment
- The identification of a pricing or product description error
- Customers who fail to reach any order criteria set out in the Terms & Conditions
If there are any problems with your order, you will be contacted by one of the vintage14.com team either by email or by phone or by mail.
We reserve the right to reject any offer of purchase by you at any time. We will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our hands to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure but, in the absence of negligence on our part, we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the website.
Please note that you are entitled to cancel this contract if you so wish. If you wish to exercise your right to cancel this contract prior to order completion you can do so through the purchase facility on the website. If your order has already been completed please follow the procedure set out in our retail returns policy. If you are a non-retail customer please contact us by telephone or email.
Retail returns policy
We hope that you will be delighted with your order. However, sometimes we understand that you might want to return some items.
We ask that you notify us immediately in the unlikely event that your goods arrive damaged or within 10 working days of receipt of delivery if you wish to return goods to us. Please ensure that you check the measurements for your goods and ensure that they will fit into your space prior to purchase.
We will gladly offer you an exchange, refund or credit note, or organize for any damage to goods to be rectified.
Goods must be returned in perfect and saleable condition with the original packing where appropriate. If the goods do not reach us in perfect and saleable condition and in their original packaging then your right to a refund may be affected. Any refund or exchange will exclude any delivery charges that have previously been incurred. The goods are your responsibility until received by us. The cost for returning goods is at your expense. This includes any duty/surcharge/tax etc or any other payments due on returned items.
Vintage14.com is not responsible for sent or returned goods being lost or damaged in transit.
Product pricing & descriptions
Each product purchased is sold subject to its product description. We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the website are correct at the time when the important information was entered onto the system. Although we aim to keep the website as up to date as possible, the information, including photographs and product descriptions, appearing on this website at a particular time may not always reflect the position at the exact moment you place an order.
Please also be aware that our products are either handcraft or antique. Some items may have imperfections. Some items that are dispatched may differ slightly from the images shown on the website, sometimes due to the light. Items will have the signs of wear and tear associated with their age and usage. We will always do our best to draw your attention to any apparent defects when you order from us other than those that might be expected from an item’s age or previous usage or that have not already been mentioned in our condition report.
Uk mainland delivery
For smaller packages our nominated postal couriers will take care to get goods to their rightful recipient. It is the recipient’s responsibility to ensure that they are available to collect such goods when they are delivered.
We need to know all the details of the delivery address before quoting. We deliver by van courier and we work with our reliable drives. However the driver will usually be fine to assist in carrying products to an easily accessible ground floor location. It is the recipient’s responsibility to ensure that another capable person is present to assist the driver unless otherwise agreed by special delivery instruction. We reserve the right to add a surcharge for any extra costs incurred by our couriers to meet special delivery arrangements
UK mainland is defined as England, Wales, and Southern Scotland. UK mainland excludes Northern Scotland, Isle of Wight, Scottish Isles, Channel Islands, Eire and Northern Ireland.
Payment for all orders is at point of sale and not at point of despatch.
All prices are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) at the current rates and are correct at the time of entering the information onto the system. The total cost of your order is the price of the products ordered plus delivery , or if you have opted to arrange your own delivery the total cost of your order is the price of the products ordered. You confirm that the credit or debit card that is being used is yours. All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. We reserve the right to withdraw any products from this website at any time and/or remove or edit any materials or content on this website. We may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of our withdrawing any product from this website whether or not that product has been sold.
All transactions on this site are made using a secure Worldpay gateway.
To be eligible to purchase products on this website and lawfully enter into and form contracts on this website under English law you must:
- Register by providing your real name, phone number, e-mail address, payment details and other requested information
- Be over 18 years of age
- Stipulate an acceptable delivery address. Please note that PO box numbers, hotels and accommodation addresses are not acceptable
- Possess a valid credit or debit card issued by a bank acceptable to us
