Round dining table by Meredew
Alphons Loebenstein, a designer and German refugee, that Meredew became hugely popular. He was in charge of the firm for the Mid-Century ages and was responsible for its best designs. He and Robert Heritage, an independent designer, signed some of the company’s designs in the mid-century.
This extending round table is notable for the elegant and organic joint between its legs and table structure. The craftsmanship of these joints elevates the piece to the level of a true masterpiece.
The table is completely restored, but it contains two minor stubborn marks that the restoration team disguised as much as possible.
