An exceptional creation from the late 1960s, this Rogate sideboard—designed by the gifted Philip Hussey for White & Newton—is a true collector’s piece.
Hussey’s talent for material harmony is evident in the contrast between the richly figured rosewood and the warm teak used for the top and sides—a composition that reflects both balance and boldness.
The piece has been fully restored with great care, reviving the natural beauty of the timbers while preserving the integrity of its original design. Its form remains crisp and elegant: raised on slender tapering legs, with clean lines and discreet, integrated handles that speak to the refinement of mid-century British modernism.
Three drawers and a pair of outward-opening doors reveal practical storage, including internal shelving—making this sideboard as functional as it is graceful.
A rare and timeless work, now brought back to its full splendour, this sideboard stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of craftsmanship and design.

Erik Brouer designed this Mid-Century Danish desk, which was handcrafted in rich and warm teak wood by Brouer Møbelfabrik
The desk is distinguished by its compact dimensions, built-in handles, and two banks of drawers. The left drawer features a unique long files drawer, while the right drawer contains a bank of three drawers. Three shelves on the backside of the desk provide additional storage options.
After a meticulous restoration the desk has retained three subtle marks that were intended to be concealed but not completely removed. To fully appreciate the marks it is recommended to zoom in on the images as some are minuscule and may be challenging to discern.

Tom Robertson for A.H. McIntosh – Dunvegan Collection Coffee Table
In the golden age of Mid-Century design, few names shone brighter than that of Tom Robertson, whose finest creations graced the distinguished workshops of A.H. McIntosh in Scotland. His masterful hand brought forth the celebrated Dunvegan collection — a triumph of craftsmanship and design that continues to captivate discerning admirers to this day.
Among these treasures, not only does the patented double extending dining table hold pride of place, but so too does the elegant sideboard, the finely crafted chairs, and this remarkable coffee table, a true jewel of its time. Fashioned from vibrant, richly grained teakwood, the table boasts two clever extensions — one at each side — each thoughtfully finished with black melamine. This thoughtful detail grants both freedom and peace of mind, allowing one to rest hot or cold drinks without fear of marring the table’s radiant surface.
A harmonious blend of beauty and practicality, this piece stands as a testament to an era when design was a celebration of both form and function, and where every detail was crafted with reverence for the materials and the maker’s art.
