It presents in very good original condition, with only a minor surface scratch visible in two of the photographs. The teak wood is warm, rich, and beautifully grained, full of character. Structurally, the table is sound and practical; it can be easily dismantled for transportation and reassembled with simplicity, secured by two screws on each leg.

The thoughtful layout offers practical storage while maintaining the clean, refined lines of classic Scandinavian design.

When this desk arrived at our workshop, it was in poor condition. Our skilled restorers have carefully and sympathetically brought it back to an exceptional standard, preserving its original character while ensuring it is ready for many more years of use. During the restoration, a small number of veneer repairs were professionally carried out where sections of the original teak veneer were missing. The desktop also retains a few minor age-related marks, which are reflected in the price. We encourage you to zoom in on the photographs to appreciate these details.

John Herbert was born in England and he was an active designer between the ‘50s and ‘60s and was known by his creation inspired in the Scandinavian style, he made high-end furniture a like side boards, tables, chairs etc…

He was the head of designed for A. Younger Ltd and and during this period he signed some of his most iconic collections that they were awarded later on, like “Fonseca” collection and “sequence” both collections became very popular at that time.

The coffee table we have here is one of the examples from its “Fonseca Collection” a rectangular coffee table with a beautiful afromorsia wood for its frame and legs and a vibrant teak wood for the top. Another feature that makes this piece so unique is the rattan rack.
The beauty of this table is due to the line up joints between the legs and the top, the use of the rattan for the rack and colours of the wood.

Dining table designed in the 60s in Denmark in teak. The table faithful to Danish design, straight lines, rich in simplicity and functionalism that have turned these pieces of furniture into design icons.

The teak of the table has a very bright color, and has two extensions, one on each side, what is known as a Dutch opening table. The table can be easily disassembled and assembled for transport, due to its extensions this table can gather between 8 and 10 people around it.

Lucian Ercolani designed and manufactured this table in the 1960s in the UK for the well-known furniture brand Ercol.

This table is one of Ercolani’s first creations, using elm wood for the top and beech wood for the structure and legs.

Even today it continues to be an icon of the Ercol house and has just been recently re-edited in oak wood.

The table gives us the opportunity to use it open, semi-open or closed.
