Sideboard designed by Niels Koefoed for Hornslet in teak made in Denmark

Original and unusual Danish sideboard designed by Niels Koefoed for  Hornslet, made of teak wood that incorporates a food hotplate warmer in its central part.

Being this last detail what makes this piece unique and truly difficult to find nowadays. The beauty of the hotplate is featured by the monochrome print of the Copenhagen harbor in the XVII century.

The hotplate section has a hinged top which is operated by opening the top drawer.

It consists of three modules, a central one with 4 large-capacity drawers and two side modules closed by sliding doors.

This sideboard presents the straight lines typical of Danish furniture, something that brings stability and elegance to the design, making this piece valid for both a home and a workspace.

    White and Newton Sideboard

Impressive teak sideboard from the English brand White and Newton. Under the design direction of the talented Arthur Edwards, the firm produced stunning high-end furniture often defined by its clean modern lines and the contrast made by the materials used in its creations.

This, like most of the White & Newton designs, were a reference and created a great influence on all the furniture that was produced from then until nowadays.

Its hidden handles, curved structure that hides the drawers, and a beautiful play of colors with the woods used in this piece (afrormosia and teak) give its design a great balance.

Design, structure and craftsmanship make this sideboard an exquisite and rare piece to find.

McIntosh Sideboard by Tom Robertson (Sunburst Collection)

Sideboard designed by Tom Robertson for AH Mcintosh in Scotland in the 60s for one of his more relevant collections, the Sunburst Collection. The name is due to the fact that it is built in vibrant teak marquetry.

It comes with beautiful solid handles in organic shapes. It was not handcrafted from a stunning and vibrant teak for the sideboard and especially for the sunburst marquetry work.

These three modules give us a lot of storage space for our room, featuring an inner drawer on the left, channel above for cutlery, two sliding doors enclosing an additional divided compartment with a shelf and a cocktail tray on the right with a drop-down door containing a black melamine covered pull-out tray.
