Bedside Table By G Plan, 1960s

A pair of GPlan bedside tables completely restored and in perfect condition.
The bedside tables come with an extra feature added in our restoration workshop, it is a hanging bar with three holes that give you the opportunity to hang them directly to the wall no having to use the leg.
The bedside tables always need to add a screw to the wall to avoid they tilt.

Mid-Century Bedside Table by Greave and Thomas

This lovely occasional table can be used as a bedside table as well as a sofa table.

This is delicate design to give that living room nook a new lease of life. This charming side table combines straight-lined design with a two small metal handles making this table very elegant. A handy drawer completes the look, packing this piece with beautiful practicality.

Made in teak in the 60´s.

Condition report:

The top of the table has been sanded and re-polished.
This table is in very good conditions, small tear and wear due to its age.
The drawer runs smoothly.

Dining table by Johannes Andersen for Uldum Møblefabrik

The skilled designer Johannes Andersen created a spacious table for the renowned cabinet maker Uldum Møbelfabrik in Denmark.

This table features a distinct extended section on one side that can be stored in a specific location. The table has a sturdy structure, with its top frame crafted from solid teak wood exhibiting a beautiful teak grain.

Arne Vodder Rosewood Sideboard

This stunning sideboard was created by the famous designer Arne Vodder and meticulously handcrafted in rosewood by the renowned Danish cabinetmaker Sibast in the 1960s. It is a testament to the exceptional craftsmanship and design of its era. 

One of the most notable features of this sideboard is the sliding doors that open to reveal a plethora of storage space. Inside, you will find four fixed shelves and two drawers, providing ample storage space for your belongings. Mid-Century Dining Table from McIntosh

Tom Robertson designed the dining table in the 60s for A.H. McIntosh in Scotland for the Dunvegan Collection Model T2.

This boat-shaped table was made of teak wood and has an extension inside that provides a larger surface for use.

Professionals have entirely restored it. The teak of this wood has a vibrant teak grain. The table has a small stubborn mark in the corner of the top table. Please check the picture; it doesn’t affect the table’s beauty.

Dining table in teak, Fonseca Collection Model 746 by A. Younger 1960.

John Herbert was well known to be one of the first British influenced by the Danish Modern style, producing high-quality, well-crafted, low-volume furniture for cabinet maker A. Younger Ltd.

This table was awarded from the Furniture Makers’ Guild in 1960. It is an unusual table to find in the market and it was produced for Heals in the late ’60s.  This example of a table is featured for the elegance and fine way the designer created the joint between the leg and the structure table. The beauty of the handcrafting and the mixture of the teakwood and the afromorsia make this table a timeless piece of furniture.

Herbert was an accomplished designer: in 1960 he won three awards from the Furniture Makers’ Guild for a sideboard and two tables, one from the Fonseca range.

Teak Coffee table by A Younger with a rattan rack

John Herbert was born in England and he was an active designer between the ‘50s and ‘60s and was known by his creation inspired in the Scandinavian style, he made high-end furniture a like side boards, tables, chairs etc…

He was the head of designed for A. Younger Ltd and and during this period he signed some of his most iconic collections that they were awarded later on, like “Fonseca” collection and “sequence” both collections became very popular at that time.

The coffee table we have here is one of the examples from its “Fonseca Collection” a rectangular coffee table with a beautiful afromorsia wood for its frame and legs and a vibrant teak wood for the top. Another feature that makes this piece so unique is the rattan rack.
The beauty of this table is due to the line up joints between the legs and the top, the use of the rattan for the rack and colours of the wood.
